Biography

Cindy recently retired from twenty-three years homeschooling not only her own four daughters but through the years three nieces, a nephew and a stray sixteen year old. She completed her debut novel, END OF A DAY, in 2006 and has been in fortunate dialogue with Sr. Editor Rodney Morris (Multnomah, NavPress, Harvest House) about revisions, which are currently underway.

Cindy has published over a dozen articles in local magazines and nationally in The Teaching Home Magazine and Today's Caregiver Magazine over the last eighteen months. Her monthly column has a circulation of over 109K. What she lacks in talent and experience she makes up for in tenacity, and fully expects to be published in national periodicals.

Self-motivated and a risk-taker (she snow skied for the first time on her fortieth birthday and took up mountain biking a few years later) Cindy sees life and people differently than most, and has a 'gift' for challenging assumptions. These qualities combine to form her greatest strengths and weaknesses.

Cindy is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for her county where she researches every aspect of her assigned foster child's life and presents her recommendations to the judge. By March 2009 she and Dave will be the proud grandparents of five grandchildren.
